The location was perfect, not too far from town. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The Garden Suites were comfortable and we were very happy with our room.
Felt well taken care of, no complaints.

The owners of this B&B were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast included was delicious with the majority of the food made using local produce. Gilgara was definitely a relaxing place to stay and the added bonus was that it was also easily accessible when travelling into the Margaret River town.

It had an empty room, bathroom very clean and well presented.
A car was needed at all times, no facilities in walking distance. Services in the room were limited, no telephone, no tv, only a single hard chair and no desk or writing space.

Homestead full of character, clean rooms, access to lounges and dining, beautiful greenery, private garden villas.
Nothing for me.

Elaine and Steven (owners) were extremely friendly and were full of suggestions to make the most of our trip to Margaret River. The breakfast! - Elaine makes the bread and marmalaide, the jam and honey is local...absolutely wonderful. Don't skip breakfast here! The suites are great and very comfortable.

The room had a wonderful ambiance and we felt connected with the outdoors yet separate from other guests. Very zen like.

We had a lovely stay at Gilgara Retreat Villa. the property is set in extensive rolling grounds with a beautiful garden, providing a magnificent and peaceful setting. the old homestead building was charming and our bed was very comfortable. the hot shower was a plus. the staff, particularly the owner Angus, were friendly and informative, providing us with great local knowledge. We also enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine. It was a perfect place to unwind and relax.
Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes. 😊

A Hidden Gem
We recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming retreat in Western Australia. Nestled in a peaceful location just outside of town, this place was a true hidden gem. The modern villas had stunning glass windows, allowing us to take in the beautiful views of the surrounding bushland. The design and attention to detail were impeccable. Despite the chilly weather, the air conditioning kept us warm and cozy throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the spacious bathroom with its luxurious spa facilities. The grounds were like something out of a storybook, with lush meadows and an abundance of wildlife. The manager was incredibly attentive, providing us with helpful tips for exploring the area. While the breakfast was not included with our villa, we found plenty of local restaurants in town to satisfy our culinary cravings. Gilgara Retreat provided us with a truly relaxing and memorable experience. We can't wait to return and explore more of this beautiful region.

This is a beautiful place to stay away from hussle and bustle of Margaret River village but perfectly placed to access all that Margaret Ruver has to offer. We stayed in the beautifully appointed garden suite. Elaine was very helpful in all her advice and hospitality.
The fact there were no blinds in the bedroom so ypu are woken at first light. Lovely in the evening being able to see the moon.

Fabulous location and very close to the town of Margaret River - a nice walk into town if the weather is pleasant.
Very cold on the concrete floors, no robes, lacks an open/gas fireplace in the lounge area to complete the atmosphere. Heater is also in an non-efficient location (over the bedroom unit) and fails to heat the lounge room, hence making it a less attractive place to sit.
